Star Studded Weekend

Austrian Folk MusicAustria and folk music go hand in hand. Some of the most renowned names of their gild are flocking to Zell am See-Kaprun this year once again to perform at the region's traditional Salzburg Music Spring Festival. From 3rd to 5th June they are performing live on the stage at Zell's ice rink. Just as in previous years, guests can look forward to celebrating one of the most popular music styles of the Alpine republic for a long weekend.

The event is kicking off on Thursday with a great opening ceremony. Mayor Hermann Kaufmann will be there to give a welcoming speech and subsequently the first songs will be raised: as the opening act of the star-studded weekend, Zell's town band is playing its most beautiful songs during a jovial cultural evening. Traditional dances round off the first evening of the four-day event.

On Friday and Saturday, 4th and 5th June, there will then be a steady coming and going of some of the greatest stars of folk music. Among them are the gorgeous Francine Jordi, the band 'Die Jungen Zillertaler' as well as legendary Hansi Hinterseer. The great final on Saturday evening is boasting performances of Reiner Kirsten, the Hofmann sisters, and the band 'Die Schäfer'. Your host for these two evenings is no less a figure than Andy Borg, well known as the TV presenter of Musikantenstadl music show.

Prices start from just £569pp on an All Inclusive Basis in a 4 star hotel in Zell am See. Prices includes Gatwick flights and transfers.
