Bellagio’s natural beauty is enhanced by its unique position on the extreme end of the promontory which divides the southern part of Lake Como. Its highest points offer beautiful views of the lake and the snow-capped alps. The deepest lake in Europe , Lake Como has much to offer.  

It has been a world famous resort for many years yet, despite its popularity, its cobbled streets, winding alleys, squares, old churches and shopping arcades have retained their character.  The narrow streets which rise from the lakeside are lined with shops and there is very little traffic in the centre of Bellagio to disturb you as you explore. 

For a gentle strol cross the peninsula, on paths over the ridge from Ballagio, to the villages of Pescallo and Loppia. It is worth noting that less mobile visitors may be hindered in Bellagio by the steep cobbled streets and may like to consider of of the other resorts on Lake Como.

The gardens of Villa Melzi, close to the resort centre and of Villa Carlotta, just across the lake at Cadenabbia, are a popular visit. 

Lake ferries and hydrofoils call regularly at Bellagio and enable you to visit other interesting villages dotted along the lake’s scenic shores. You may be required to travel on the ferry for your airport tranfers and carry your own luggage.
