The villages on Lake Como, the deepest lake in Europe, have much to offer and enjoy wonderful views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Cadenabbia (Cadenabbia di Griante) is a small community in the province of Como, on the west shore of Lake Como.
Cadenabbia is a favorite spring and autumn resort, owing to the great beauty of the scenery and of the vegetation, and its sheltered situation. It also serves as a health resort and as a favoured travel destination of the British since the 19th century, it is the site of the first Aglican church built in Italy (1891).
Cadenabbia is located on the sunny western shore and is an easy walk along the lake to Tremezzo, with the botanical gardens of Villa Carlotta en route.
