St. Anton am Arlberg is a truly unique recreation paradise for the whole family. The cozy little town with 2500 inhabitants has still maintained its genuine ambiance and charming atmosphere. Relax and unwind at the elevation of 1300m where crisp and clean mountain air is guaranteed! Experience genuine Tirolean hospitality and spend the most beautiful days of the year among friends.
Located in the heart of the scenic Arlberg region, this Tyrolean village enjoys an unhurried atmosphere and is surrounded by beautiful and dramatic scenery. The village has plenty of shops and cafes, and is ideally positioned for walking and relaxing in, with a central leisure spa, and dozens of well marked paths.
A network of mountain paths and huts will spoil the hiker for choice, while the mountainbiker can opt for one of the many forest roads criss-crossing the mountainsides. The walks vary in degrees of difficulty from rambles to high peaks. The scenic Verwall Valley with its turquoise lake and pine forest can be reached on foot and the Valluga Peak at 9,220 ft is easily accessible by cablecar, providing an unforgettable panoramic view of peaks and glaciers.
For those whose sporting needs are a little more sedate, there is a 6-hole golf course and a swimming pool and sauna complex.
The history and traditions of St Anton can be investigated in the local museum or on one of the excursions to nearby places of interest operated by the local bus company. And a great way to spend a summer evening is to visit the Tyrolean evening - a display of local music, dancing and yodelling put on by a local folklore group.
If you prefer to do things at your own pace and under your own steam, then discover one of the small village festivals held in the Arlberg area over the summer.
