Selva is located in the Val Gardena, a region of exceptional beauty with a wealth of natural treasures and offering a wonderful combination of Austrian architecture and Italian ambience.
Towering over the valley are the dramatic Dolomite mountains - awe inspiring jagged peaks which at sunset and sunrise take on amazing colours from pink to purple.
Walkers will appreciate the spectacular scenery and network of trails leading from the village; from gentle rambles along lush river valleys to the more invigorating high altitude ridge treks accessed by the lifts and cable cars.
The 'Ladin' language, which dates back to Roman times, is widely spoken here and the local industry of woodcarving produces works from small souvenirs to intricate decorative items.
