The Chairlift Graveyard: where chairlifts go when they die…

Following on from our very popular post in May – the Bubble Lift Graveyard – this summer we discovered a chairlift graveyard.

The Chairlift Graveyard

These forlorn chairlifts were seen by one of our roving reporters this summer in Val d’Isere.

They were seen at near the bottom of the Bellevarde Express at the Rond Point des Pistes.  It of course possible that  they are just ‘resting’ over the summer, but it was a sad sight nonetheless!

Not for sale

There were no indications there were for sale, unlike the Bubble Lift graveyard we reported on previously:

We’d like to save all unwanted ski lifts, but at anything up to £5000 each, it might take us some time!
