Stand Up Paddleboarding – more commonly known as SUP – participation has increased hugely over the last few years.
SUP orginated in Hawaii in the 1940s, but the growth in the sport has mainly happened in the last 10 years. Participant numbers have increased around 18% since 2010 and this Google Trends graph shows how interest online has grown:
