Chris Froome in Meribel…

If the headline ‘Chris Froome in Meribel’ is something you didn’t expect to read, then don’t worry, Britain’s top cyclist isn’t risking injury by going skiing yet…

Froome and the rest of the riders on the Criterium du Dauphine will all be cycling into Meribel tomorrow as it stages the finish of the sixth and penultimate stage of this year’s race – one of the key warm-up races for the Tour de France.

Lots going on in Meribel

If you’d like to watch the race in Meribel itself, the town will have lots going on apart from just cycling. There are bands and live music, as well as demos from trial bikes and DJs later on. The leaders are expected to arrive around 5pm.
