The Vercland gondola that links the village via Samoens to the Grand Massif ski area in France is being redeveloped and will open in December as an upgraded 10-seater gondola.
While the old ‘egg’ style bubbles will be missed, the new Doppelmayr lift will reduce the journey time from Vercland to Samoens 1600 to just 7 minutes with a capacity of 2000 skier and snowboarders per hour.
