WEsayPleasant relaxed village
La Villa is one of the key ski villages in the Alta Badia district and Sud Tyro. The centre of the village has a selction of bars and shops and some populatr restuarants offering you the chance to sample and taste the wares of the local Ladino tradition.
Corvara is another village of the Alta Badia region with a great location on the Sella Ronda circuit offering easy access to nearby resorts including La Villa, Arabba, and Selva.
There are plenty of shops and cafes in Covara to keep you busy off the slopes as well as some popular bars to visit once you've decided to give your ski legs a rest.
New for 2016/17
At Arabba, the old double chair lift from the village to Portados at mid-mountain is being replaced by a n 8-seater gondola. This links with a higher fast chair that gets you on the way to Passo Pordoi, improving traffic flow on the clockwise Sella Ronda circuit. In a radical refurbishment, the Gran Paradiso button lift at Piz Sella is being replaced by a covered 8-seater with heated seats Italy s first, apparently; seats are in a striking blue, you ll be excited to hear.
New for 2015/16
The double chair lift Comici 2 at Piz Sella was replaced by a six-seater chair. Nearby, a new black piste Paprika was created as a variant of the existing Seef. The La Fraina quad chair above San Cassiano was replaced by a six-pack.
New for 2014/15
Lift capacity will be increased at Corvara with a six-pack replacing the Pralongià triple chairlift and an eight-person gondola replacing the queue-prone Borest quad chairlift to/from Colfosco.
New for 2013/14
A new six-pack was built between Arabba and Passo Pordoi, going up to the Carpazza chair creating a new way to the lifts towards Marmolada. The kids fun slope above San Cassiano was expanded.
New for 2012/13
In Arabba, a new six-seat chairlift, Carpazza, opened at mid-mountain below Porta Vescovo. In Corvara, the Boè gondola was upgraded. A new terrain park, PlaygroundSNOW, opened below Bioch.
