St Anton

St Anton top ski resorts

Situated in the famous Arlberg mountain range, this premier resort is on many people’s shortlist when it comes to naming the top winter sports spots in Europe. Over the last few years, a number of new gondolas and chair lifts have been installed in the area and there is a great après-ski scene that continues until the early hours of the morning. Visitors who want to take a break from the slopes and chill out may like to visit the local wellness centre where they can enjoy a soak in the whirlpool before topping up their tan in the solarium.

Challenging terrain

Experienced snowboarders and skiers will relish the opportunity to tackle some of the black runs in this area, with some great forest sections close to the resort, and there is plenty to keep those at an intermediate level happy too. We have cheap resort packages, catered chalets and hotels in St Anton that are the perfect place in which to relax after an adrenaline-fuelled day out. The more difficult off-piste runs are not for the faint hearted but they can be rewarding for people that are prepared to accept the risks they present and use their skills to negotiate them.

Exploring

St. Christoph, Lech, Zurs and Stuben can all be found in the Arlberg area and together they ensure that visitors are never bored as they have a huge variety of options from which to choose every day of their holiday. Although there are nursery slopes and great ski schools in this region,  St Anton is perhaps not a 1st choice destination for complete beginners. However, if you are reasonably confident in your abilities and ready to stretch yourself then this could be the ideal place for you. To get a better idea of the sport on offer, check out our St Anton ski map links.
