The Hotel Tango is a fun and cosy place to stay, right in the middle of the highest ski resort in Europe. The original 1960s hotel was rebuilt in 2012, and has since become one of the most popular meeting spots in Val Thorens. It’s quirky and contemporary throughout, with plenty of comfortable places to relax.
Each of the spacious rooms is decorated in deep blues and reds, with dark wooden furniture and wallpaper patterned with tartan or snowy trees. Most of them have a balcony too.
The super cosy lounge area is a great place to unwind at the end of the day, in front of the roaring fire or watching a game on the big TV, preferably with a drink from the bar in hand. Tucked around the corner, the Alpine Kitchen restaurant dishes out a range of good quality food from around the world, in a calm and refined setting – the Tango Burger is one of the best in town.
Outside, there’s a terrace that really comes alive at après time. Sip cocktails while listening to live music, or let loose and dance in your ski boots. And a couple of times a week, they also host a lunchtime barbecue.
A visit to the wellness area is another must – make the most of the sauna and hammam, and maybe even book in for a massage, to get you ready for another day on the slopes.
And while the style is laid-back, the service is anything but – you can expect the same excellent standard that comes with all Langley hotels.
Best of all, the Tango is ski-in, ski-out, so just a few steps from the ski room you'll be able to clip in and cruise straight to the lifts.
